A walk around Le Grand-Pressigny

One of the joys of living in La Guerche is that the village is slightly off the beaten track, offering peace and quiet, yet within just 10 minutes you have access to all the amenities you need in the pretty neighbouring village of Le Grand-Pressigny but without its through traffic! When we visit we like to take a good walk around the village as it offers a number of different options to stroll that keeps it interesting.

 You can wander up the narrow streets to enjoy a view of the village from the château’s terrace, or even visit the fascinating Prehistory Museum located within its grounds.

On this particular walk we chose to walk up behind the chateau into the countryside before circling back over the rivers back into the centre of the village. 

We normally park in the centre of the village by the church,which is also worth a visit, as it also gives us the option of popping into one of the local bars for a coffee or refreshing drink.
