After my birthday lunch in Châtellerault we decided to take a walks down the river Vienne, something we had not done for a long time,it was actually 2016! This,despite the fact that it is our go-to place for our weekly shopping...shame on us!
It was good to see that the the elegant 17th-century Pont Henri IV bridge has had a makeover.
It is the perfect spot for a quick photo stop for views along the river.
We then walked through the narrow back streets onto Av. du Président Wilson...
and passed the 'Guardian House' and 'La Gourmandine' hotel...
before reaching the roundabout with its fountain and the carpark.
