Back at the Lavoir...and more Irish music

 

Last night saw us back with friends at 'Le Lavoir'  in Preuilly-sur-Claise to listen to a fine group of musicians give us a very convivial set of Irish tunes as we enjoyed the food on offer accompanied by a few bottles of wine!

This was our second exposure to Irish music in just a few days as we attended the Irish Night at Le Grand-Pressigny on Friday. 

As well as music we were given an excellent display of Irish dancing by this lovely young lady who at times seemed to be floating on air!

Excellent turnout again this year for the 'Soiree Irlandaise' in Le Grand-Pressigny

and then 'Siansa' made for a fun evening.

Celebrating the Irish in Le Grand-Pressigny

Went along with friends to 'Chez L' last night to help celebrate St. Patrick's day (Sunday). Lisa provided an Irish themed meal and 'Celtiqua' provided the music, a very good combination!

Another Irish soiree...

Attended meeting of the committee of the Fet' Art Pressignois on Tuesday night and happy to report that   Le Grand Pressigny will again be hosting an Irish soiree on the 1st July this year. It is an event that proved very successful last year among the locals and expats alike. Looking forward  to it already, put it in your diary.
