amateur and professional gardeners keen to take advantage of their expertise. There
are also exhibitors of local produce plus something to amuse the children…as if
the gardens weren’t enough!

A walk in the park...
On Sunday afternoon we took a walk through the park/gardens in Descartes...it was a lovely afternoon but there were not many people out walking. which is such a shame as it is a great asset to the town and area.Here is our walk in pictures.

Living it large...
After posting the photograph of Mike and Liz's 'Albizia' tree's progress earlier in the week I couldn't help but notice its big brother in the garden of Malc.and Sue on the Lesigny road from Barrou.
I wonder if they are aware of just how large they can get?

Flowering in France...
Friends Mike and Liz are back in England at the moment taking advantage of Olympic games tickets - they were sorry that they might not see the recently planted tree in bloom ...well here it is...very pretty.

A walk around...Villandry gardens.
The gardens at Chateau de Villandry here in the Loire valley are one of the 'must see' visits of any trip to this beautiful part of France. Split on three levels, the ornamental garden, the water garden and the kitchen garden.The gardens change with the seasons... here a picture is certainly worth a thousand words...
