Getting back in step...

Went out for a wee walk yesterday around La Guerche, first since returning from our extended stay in Scotland. The shy sunflowers brought some brightness to a somewhat overcast morning.

Our unique sunflower...

After showing the sunflowers that are coming out locally yesterday I thought I would show off our own courtyard tournesol captured here in La Guerche. You could be enjoying this perfect 'lock & leave' house and courtyard as the house is currently on the market.

Ada among the sunflowers...

It was great that in the time Michael, Rose and Ada were here that they got to see the sunflowers in bloom, would have been a shame to have missed them.

Sunday stroll...and thinking of sunflowers.

Always like it when some of the fields around us here in Barrou are planted up with sunflowers giving us something to look forward to in July.

Sad yet still beautiful...

Many of the sunflowers around us are reaching the end of their 'best' look yet still have a certain endearing quality about them. Although its hard to beat views like the one below !

You have to stop...

On our way back from Chaumont-sur-Loire just had to stop and take my first sunflower pic of the year - shame about the lack of blue sky - next time!

Stopping for sunflowers

I find it difficult not to stop and photograph the sunflowers as we drive around our beautiful part of France.

November from strawberries to sunflowers!

Took these pics yesterday of sunflowers in a field just outside Chambon, almost 7 years to the day I did a similar post of a field near Ciran.

Tournesols of Touraine...

One of the many joys of living in this part of the world is the sight of fields of sunflowers that are beginning to look as they should after a slow start...more of our normal blue skies please!
