Ada among the sunflowers...

It was great that in the time Michael, Rose and Ada were here that they got to see the sunflowers in bloom, would have been a shame to have missed them.

Ada visits Haute-Touche Zoological Reserve

On Monday we took Ada back to Haute-Touche, her first visit was way back in October 2019.

We had a lovely walk through the park where she was delighted to get up close with some of the animals but not all!

For the tigers this was close enough!

she had no problem however posing with the large prints along the avenue showing all the endangered species.

A visit to Montresor...

 

We did a visit to Montresor yesterday where Ada was really impressed by the exhibition of Gemmail, 'Art of Glass and Light' on the upper floor of the Halle des Cardeux even though it was a wee bit dark for her. 

We also had entertainment from a marching brass band who gave us a repertoire that included 'Scotland the brave' for their 'European Fete' event.  

Michael took the time to translate the items on the 'Legend trail' for Ada to understand and ponder.

Fortunately the cloudy sky dispersed  to reveal a lovely afternoon with the village looking its beautiful best.

Beach baby...

We took Ada to the beach at Lac de St Cyr on Wednesday where, even though it was cloudy, it proved a popular choice. 

Sadly however, as tempting the water looked, it continues to be off limits due to a quality problem.
