Get out and smell the roses!...

 You could visit the rose garden in the public gardens in Descartes which looked and smelt beautiful this morning. 

That which we call a rose, by any other word would smell as sweet...

With the warning of the impending 'orage' Pauline decided to cut some of the roses from the garden before they take the inevitable pounding! Good decision I think as it was a stoater! Unfortunately looks as if our Skybox is a casualty!

Nature's gift that keeps on giving...

 

As we sit beneath our wall rose in the courtyard of the Old Walnut Mill we cannot help but admire nature that gives us this display every year...a joy!

Last rose...

 

This year,more than others, we have had a great deal of pleasure from our courtyard here at the Old Walnut Mill as with no guests we have been able to appreciate it from the first rose (below) in April to this fine example as our last.

Sorry but we don't get out much these days! - this time in the back garden of the Old Walnut Mill last night.

What a difference a week makes...

From the first rose last Saturday to this and after last evenings much needed rain will soon be a mass of colour!

Bloomin' marvellous...

From a single rose back in the 7th may our guests at the 'Old Walnut Mill' watched as our climbing rose came to full bloom during their stay.

The first rose...

The first rose opened up on our wall rose here in Barrou last Thursday...all we need now is for the sun to come back for more to appear.
