No pot of gold but thank you anyway...captured last night on way to pick up friends at Mairé.

Trying to enter the Christmas spirit...

 

Yesterday we chose to venture out and visit some of the Christmas markets that were on offer - we stopped into the one that was set up within the maison de retraite on the outskirts of  Abilly - took a bit of locating - we  should have read the small print - as we thought it was in the village, the signs were there but wee bit confusing for us old folk! Anyways,glad we went, as managed to make a start to present buying. We then chose to head over to the one at Crissay-sur-Manse which we expected may not be up to much as it is a very small (but pretty) village.  

.

As we thought, it proved to be underwhelming with only four stalls but it did have carol singers and a big Santa Clause! 

We had gone with the idea that if it proved not to be good we could always have another walk around the village itself,which we did,so not entirely a waste of time. 

An outing for 'Old Hat'...

'Bonne ambiance' last night for Old Hat's gig at La Taverne here in La Guerche ( La Ferme Des Granges ). Great to see friends from the three villages there. Thanks to everyone for your support and Dave for the pic..

Wednesday is for windows...rainbow rooms.

When we had our overnight stay in Dijon on our way back from our recent road trip we stayed near (not in) the 'Vertigo Hotel'  with its unique facade. The pic. below was other windows o the hotel coloured for October and breast cancer awareness. Aparently the beds of the rooms are suspended and the reception plays 'Vertigo' by U2 on a loop!

Night falls and the spirits start to appear...

Pauline and I were invited over at sunset (lovely one too) last night to a friend's to celebrate 'Samhain', the pagan pre-cursor to 'All Hallows' Eve and Halloween. Not sure why I had the long face as it was a lovely evening!
