On Friday Denis was our guide for a lovely day trip to Bruges, only slightly spoiled by rain in the afternoon which waylaid our boat trip on the canals. We were joined by other friends from Brussels (and LGP),Tony and Tina,who had entertained us at their home the night before! 
Pauline and I love Bruges... we twinned the pub we used to go to as a local [via the train] with the Little Brugges Bear.
ReplyDeleteAnd behind you, when you took the photo of the tourist boats by the bridge with a crest, was Den Dyver.... one of the most wonderful places to eat in Bruges.... very much like La Promenade in Petit Pressigny, but the emphasis is on beer and food cooked and eaten with it.
It is a fixed menu each day, but beers are servedthat either complement the food or it has been cooked with that beer.... or both!
And it is very theatrical!!
