Checking out the 'Fête Franco-Ecossaise' at Chatillon-sur-Indre

On Saturday we had a Gaelic outing with friends Anne & Denis to see what goes on at  'Fête  Franco-Ecossaise' at Chatillon-sur-Indre - something that had intrigued us in the past. The town had become Scottish for the day with the Saltire flying over the chateau and one of the bars even changed its name for the day!

Their fete committee had obviously gone to a lot of effort with a tent village offering everything from haggis to mini kilts as well as all things medieval plus pipe bands and staged fights.  We also enjoyed a bit of highland dancing and the pipers on the stage set up for the occasion.
