We had to go up to Tours on Tuesday to get some assistance with some admin. work so we decided to visit the 'Parc Honoré de Balzac' which is situated on an artificial island on the Cher River to the south of the city. It extends to over 24 hectares and includes an animal park with domestic llamas, black sheep and goats plus a range of games and sports facilities.
It was a place that we have thought of visiting for some time, we are glad we did as it is a pleasant environment for a walk which offers great views over the both banks of the river Cher.
