A walk around the Lac de Saint Cyr...

 

Friends organised a walk around the lake at Saint-Cyr yesterday followed by lunch at the golf club which looks over it - a good day out!

 

Expect the unexpected...art,doing it large!

When we did our walk around the small village of Pussigny on Sunday we did not expect to be walking through this display of art -

Sunday stroll - around Pussigny

Yesterday Pauline and I headed over to Pussigny on the other side of the river Vienne but still in Touraine, for our Sunday stroll. We plumped for the shorter (5.5km) 'Sentiers Pedestres' walk. The walk starts by taking you along the main road towards Antogney-le-Tillac parallel to the river Vienne. Bizarrely however it leads you off the road down a path that  takes you past the sewage works! If there is a next time I would stay on the road.

Just before you hit Antogney-le-Tillac you take a right up into the countryside and the sunflowers .

An amazing corridor

On what was a very warm day the distance was just about right.

At the end of another lovely evening with friends in the courtyard last night.
