Montebœuf...let the games begin.

 

Yesterday, on a warm, sunny day, we headed over to our friends Chris and Sally’s place in Montebœuf for their 'Games Day'—an event they organise exceptionally well.Below are some of the photos Alison and I took of the games and players.

After the games we sat down to a lovely lunch and enjoyed a good chat.

Long day yesterday after 6.00am flight  from Edinburgh to Poitiers. Made better with an afternoon nap, dinner invitation with friends and lovely evening temperatures.

 

End of a sparkling week celebrating in Scotland.

For our last day of celebrating Pauline's birthday it was back to Edinburgh to be with the family for the last time before returning to France. Dinner out followed by some fun and cake back at Rose and Michael's.

Ada had us challenging her to a stare-out competition.

Michael and Rose provided cake and yet more sparkling wine before a game of 'What am I'

Celebrating Pauline's birthday...

Yesterday for Pauline's birthday Eileen treated us to a lovely lunch at the recently refurbished Brig o' Doon House Hotel here in Ayr.

We had walked to the venue so as to check out the most recent work which had been added to the wall of the Alloway Tunnel project and to take in the view of the old Brig o'Doon from our favourite viewpoint, apart from within the restaurant!

We also walked back,8km all in, so felt it justified the Champagne and cake that was waiting for us back at Eileen's.

It did not take long for more Champagne to arrive via friends and neighbours making it the perfect end to a lovely day for Pauline.
