You gotta roll with it...

We went along to listen to 'Les Fortune Tellers'  the Rolling Stones tribute band, at Cafe de la Paix (again) in Descartes last night. Oddly enough after a busy day we were not as 'up for it' as we would normally be but we are so glad we went as it was probably one of the best sets we have had from them. The exuberance of our friend Caroline (big big RS fan) and the local characters certainly helped. I love the fact that although they have probably played these songs thousands of times over the years they still have a great enthusiasm for them, probably repeating myself here but it is infectious. Only thing was we never got under 'Mick's' tum!

Another walk in the woods...

Friends were kind enough to invite us to join them for a walk in the 'Foret de Tours/Preuilly' yesterday and we were very glad we did...it was quite something!

It is a walk that is popular with them and we soon saw why.

The walk was defined by water, light and colour...

in abundance! I'll let the photographs tell the story

Good start to November...

Yet another lovely day here in Southern Touraine yesterday and we are into November!

Didn't get to enjoy a great deal of it however as we were working at  La Guerche, took the pic. above on our return to Barrou.

Sunday's brocante at Martizay...

We got a blue sky and sun yesterday for Martizay's popular annual brocante.

It is a large affair which and took two hours to get around so you also get the benefit of a good walk.

It had its own 'pound shop' well euro actually but they are just about the same now anyway !

We didn't enquire after the price of these as we knew they would be dear! (sorry)

The rear of one of the stalls...

as Tom would say ''you can leave your hat on''

My favourite item bar none.

Liked this 'assemble your own doll stall'
