Missing the treasure hunts - your favourite brocante find?

Confinement has meant many things that had become part of our lives here in France have had to be sacrificed for the greater good. One of the things we and many of our friends miss most is rummaging for treasure (?) at the many great brocantes in our region. These events not only provide an excellent method of recycling but also a great opportunity for socialising. Got me wondering if and when they do start up again will we have a treasure trove of items to search through?

On this subject what has been your favourite brocante find?

  1. I'm DYING to get back to brocantes! My favorite find was an unusual copper pot with long legs that must have been used over a fire.

  2. Oh how I miss the brocantes! The one in Loches that you show is one of my absolute favourites and in fact that's where I got my most treasured brocante find - the flower cake stand that was in our very first house when we were house hunting. It took nine years to find one!

  3. We've bought so much at so many brocantes that it was difficult to choose but we finally agreed that the full bedroom suite, bed, wardrobe, chevets and mirror, that we bought from the Barrou brocante was our favourite.
