Waking up to burst water mains and water being turned off in front of the house last Friday turned out to be of little concern to us as we had already packed for our first holiday since February 2019.
Some peeps may say we are on a permanent holiday here and they can be forgiven for thinking this but all the same it was a delight to accompany friends Angela and Dennis on our own first visit to the beautiful Dordogne region, they were making a nostalgic trip back after 30 years!
We based ourselves in the pretty medieval town of Sarlat-la-Canéda and will share some of our adventures over the coming week.
When the kids were little and we used to camp in France it is the only place I failed to find a space on a camping. Circa mid/late 80'S. Nice river to canoe and swim in as I remember. Some very nice sights as I remember and a tasty lethal local brew!!
