OUT and about...in Paris

So, because Easy Jet brought forward our flight by a day we decided to leave our train booking as it was and spend the day in Paris on Tuesday. We ended up having 10 hours strolling the now fairly familiar streets of a very quiet city. In an effort to stay as safe as possible we actually managed to spend the day without entering a building! - though we did sit on a few terraces (probably too many) to sup a glass of rose or two.
We had a good lunch, main and dessert, at the restaurant above for the princely sum of 14 euros!

We recreated one of our honeymoon pics from 1975.

We also headed up to 'La Maison Rose' in Montmartre another spot first visited back then but sadly it is currently closed for refurbishment (pic above is an old one).
We visited a few more old haunts - the restaurant above was where this great pic of Pauline and her mum was taken way back in 2008.

As I said, currently a very quiet city.

Proved to be a good day for getting some updated pics for my About-Paris website.

  1. Wonderful to see Paris at this point in time without seeing that it is a different time.
