If you take a leisurely stroll along the charming Boulevard Charles V in Honfleur you will come across a delightful public garden that was established in 1996 by the then mayor as an 'English style' garden on former parkland. Now called 'Le Jardin Retrouvé' the garden features a layout inspired by English landscaping traditions, characterized by its meandering paths, lush greenery, and abundant floral arrangements that contribute to its appeal.
As you wander deeper into the garden, you'll discover quaint benches nestled among the flowers, offering spots for quiet contemplation or a peaceful read. The gentle sound of a nearby fountain adds to the soothing atmosphere, inviting visitors to pause and soak in the tranquility.
If you continue past the former lighthouse you will eventually come to another public garden 'Le Jardin des Personnalités' that we did not get to as we went on the town's museum trail.
