More to Granada than the majestic Alhambra... blindingly Baroque!
We loved our visit to the Alhambra which is of course the main attraction to visitors to this fine city but the city has so much more to offer. It has of course its mighty cathedral (above) which is deserving of a post itself, which I will do, plus 25 churches of which we visited many! Probably the most fascinating of which was the Basilica of San Juan de Dios which stood out as a prime example of a Baroque overkill!
You enter via a side door after walking through a little courtyard garden but you can not imagine what awaits you!
The first room you enter is in itself very ornate but you enter the basilica proper your jaw simply drops!
