Last show?

It's that time of year and the acer in our courtyard has lost its leaves. The image above was captured a coupe of weeks ago. It may be the last show we get as the house is up for sale at the moment.

What makes the museum different is its atmosphere, spacious, airy, and less crowded than other Parisian institutions. Maybe just a wee bit too spacious.

Walking Paris, day 3 continued...in the 16th arrondissement.

We continued over the Pont de Bir-Hakeim admiring the brides along the way. Underneath is clearly a favourite spot for romantic shoots.

These were the views west and east along Av. du Président Kennedy just before we headed up the escalator past the Passy metro station onto Rue de l'Alboni and then onto Pl. du Costa Rica.
You can see some great images and a wee bit of history on Passy here.
Then it was a short walk along Bd Delessert to the bottom of the steps on Av. de Camoens for the perfect Eiffel Tower photo shoot!
There was a crane at the stop of the stairs working on one of the building and it was partly taped off for security reasons but this still didn't stopsome getting in their glamour shot.
I did manage a fairly clear shot.
I took this one on a previous visit.
We then headed over to the Jardins du Trocadéro but there was work going on in basins of the garden fountain so we headed up past 'Hercule' to the esplanade.
It was quite busy on the esplanade and the bright October sun made catching a good shot of the tower difficult.
Someone was kind enough to take this one of us into the sun.
Then it was on to Av. du Président Wilson and past the 'Sun and Dove or the birth of thought' a sculpture by Martial Raysse, which sits in front of the Palais d'Iéna.
Then Guimet Museum (Musée national des arts asiatiques)...
...the Equestrian Statue of Washington by American sculptor Daniel Chester French on the central reservation of the Place d'Iéna.
This is one of the seats with a perfect view at restaurant Bambini but we did not eat there, We were heading for lunch in the garden of the  Petit Palace.
Palais Galliera (Fashion Museum)

Our destination was the 'Palais de Tokyo', the largest center for contemporary art in Europe and a unique exhibition space. Will take you inside tomorrow.

A night of musical enchantment...

Dear friends treated us to a candlelit musical concert in the Eglise Notre-Dame-La -Riche in Tours last night where we listened to *Candlelight's Tribute to Hans Zimmer, a lovely experience.

*Fever was founded in Madrid, Spain in 2014 by Ignacio Bachiller Ströhlein, along with co-founders Francisco Hein and Pep Gómez. The company operates as a data-driven entertainment discovery platform, helping users find and book local events and experiences, from immersive exhibitions and dining pop-ups to concerts and festivals.

One of Fever’s flagship creations is Candlelight Concerts, a global series of live classical and contemporary performances staged in atmospheric, candle-lit venues. These concerts have been a major driver of Fever’s growth, helping introduce younger audiences to classical and instrumental music in a modern, accessible way.
