Every picture tells a story...
Snapped this in our courtyard this morning. It shows the 'door' of our 'appentis' which is a door from our former Barrou house that we replaced, it is not actually the usable entry but there once was a door there. The mirrors which show the four seasons were bout for our very first flat in Kilmarnock,Scotland and are now over 50 years old! The butterfly was bought in Barcelona many years ago and the two wall planters on our last Spanish adventure.

Last show?
It's that time of year and the acer in our courtyard has lost its leaves. The image above was captured a coupe of weeks ago. It may be the last show we get as the house is up for sale at the moment.

Nature's helping hand...
Woke up yesterday to slight drizzle and the effects of overnight rain on our little courtyard. By the time we went out for a walk the sun was beating down on us! You have to love nature's helping hand!

A little of Spain in our courtyard.
We brought very little back in the way of souvenirs from our Spanish road-trip but we were sure these wall planters from Nijar would fit in nicely in our courtyard...and we think they do!

The Oleanders open up...
When we left for our trip to Scotland our Oleanders were yet to produce a flower so it was a joy to arrive back to this display on our return after ten days!

The plant that keeps on giving...
The geranium above was a gift from Jane and David years ago and has been wintered a number of times but each year it continues to bring us a great show of flowers.

Pot plant patio...
In preparation for the start of the work to the side of our house next week (fingers crossed) we have had to do a bit of pot plant moving in our little courtyard so as not to interfere with the work and to protect them from the inevitable dust over spray.

Colour in the courtyard...
Good to see some colour coming to our little courtyard at last now all we need is a return to higher temperatures. I had been looking for somewhere to hang our 'four season' mirrors that we have had since we bought our first flat almost 50 years ago, they have now found a home on the door of the outhouse.

Another addition is 'George' our former hoover who has been with us for over 25 years, he had come to the end of his useful life and I could not bring myself to commit him to the dump so we have given him a spot in the courtyard as a reward for his service.
