Something for the weekend...bus to Tours then a spot of wine tasting.

On Saturday fifty winemakers from Bourgueil will be decanting themselves to Tours for the day and setting out their stalls along Boulevard Heurteloup.

After buying your tasting glass (€ 2) you are invited to taste their 2018 vintage from 10.00am until 7.00pm  More information vinbourgueil.com. 

Leave the car and take the very inexpensive bus (under 3 euros) trip into the heart of the city.

Sunday...day of rest?

Day out with friends yesterday was a full one...starting with a visit to the very good Sunday market at Langeais under a beautiful blue sky.

Then on to a brocante at Gizeux ...

followed by a badly marked walk...

and a visit to the chateau...

before stopping off at Bourgueil on way home - more detail to follow
