Descartes Sunday market...a bit of a reshuffle.

 

We made a visit to the market in Descartes yesterday, something we hadn't done for a wee while. There were only a couple of stalls in the usual spot, probably as it was too open and therefore too hot for working in! Some has moved down the street in search of some shade.

Sunday by the Creuse...

Visited Descartes Sunday market yesterday morning followed by a coffee on the terrace of the café du commerce, good to see it returning to some form of normality. Then it was over to friends in Barrou and onto another terrace over looking the river Creuse for a lovely leisurely lunch - and all under a sunny blue sky.

Sunday's brocante, a visit to the market and a walk in the park...

On Sunday we popped over to the morning market at Descartes before strolling through the gardens, which as ever are a credit to the local gardeners to the small brocante around the (now closed) aquapark.

On Sundays we recommend that our guests at our holiday cottage visit the morning market at Descartes and follow it with a walk through their beautiful public gardens...a walk we do often ourselves. The gardens are a credit to the town and their talented gardeners.

Popped over to Descartes market for some spring bedding plants this morning...the season was bursting out all around us!

Descartes in November

Visited Descartes market on Sunday on a crisp November day plus took a walk down to the river and through the public gardens - lovely. 

This is a popular first morning outing for guests on arrival at our holiday cottage in Barrou.
