The naked truth...

During the obligatory chocolate over-indulgence at Christmas I confess I contributed to the eating of some of Santa's reindeer. I use the term reindeer loosely as these examples made by the 'master chocolatiers' at Lindt were pretty unconvincing once the gold foil with painted on antlers was removed.

Had they simply bashed the mould for their Easter bunnies about a bit to give us this fine specimen?
Below is how they were represented at Christmas - with three of them apparently having escaped!

Something else for the weekend...

After a couple of years of inclement weather it looks as if Le Petit Pressigny is going to have a fine day for their 'Art & Lard' festival and they deserve it as the village puts a great deal of effort for this event...we'll be there!
Our first visit was back in 2011

This weekend there is also the 'Festival du Choculat' in Chatellerault.

If you like chocolate, like I do, then it's not a bad place to be...here is a post from 2012

We haven't visited this in past but have done Loches and Chatellerault but there are worse ways to kill an hour or so.

Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 10h to 19h

La chocolatier...

Our friend Karen joined us on our trip to Tours and could not resist visiting her favourite chocolatier.

The proprietor picks your selection with her white glove and boxes them for you - very civilised and tasty!
