More tunnel vision in Ayr...

Our Sunday walk yesterday took us on our familiar shore/river/tunnel/park route of 10km.
It was good to see the Alloway Railway Tunnel project had advanced since our last visit with some striking additions.

We had arrived there after walking along the beach road where it was good to see so many people out walking and taking advantage of a lovely sunny day, even if a little misty.

Then along the river Doon.

Through the parks and gardens where I could not resist more photo taking of the carpets of croci.

Time for an iconic Glasgow pic..

How many meetings have taken place under the clock in Glasgow Central train station? Snapped on a shopping trip to the city where, including walking to and from the local train station here in Ayr we managed to clock up a walk of 11km!

Croci the noo...

On our first real walk since arriving in Ayr Eileen led us through the lovely Corsehill Gardens to show off the stunning carpets of croci.

These little gardens are a delight.

Make mine a double Jim...

We are in Scotland for a double 'special' birthday celebration for both Rose (Tuesday) and Eileen (Wednesday). We got together on Saturday with Rose's lovely family for a birthday lunch on Saturday in Edinburgh which was followed by the party proper.
Ada was on hand to greet us as we arrived...
and to pose with cousin May!

Papa Jim and Grandad Jim.
