When we visit a new place we love to pound the streets to explore it many facets,Granada was no different.Although the obvious draw of the city is a visit to the Alhambra the streets of 'modern' Granada have much to offer. Whether it be a walk along either of its rivers, the Genile or the Darro, on its wide boulevards or narrow lanes you can find many a pleasant surprise. I am, as you probably know by now, drawn to churches but Spain (and Granada) has so many that it will take me a while to feature them but I will work my way through them if only to show the ostentatious nature of them all! Once the little shops in the city's arcades open up they come alive with colour.
