From garden to table...

Yesterday's pickings from our garden here at the Old Walnut Mill which Pauline used to make a lovely meal at a dinner for 'reuniting' friends last night in the courtyard and so begins another full weekend of socializing...and we wonder why the pounds are going back on!

Our Busy Lizzies certainly have been!

The impatiens in the back garden here at the Old Walnut Mill seem to be enjoying the current weather more than most.

Rain does have its benefits...

With the wet weather we have had recently our lawn we sowed last year at the Old Walnut Mill has established itself and everything else seems to be bursting with life!

Funny how time slips away...

As Pauline and I sat on the bench at the back of the garden here in Barrou on Sunday evening we were trying to recall what it was like when we first bought the house. First two pics. are from 2011 when we cleared all the weeds and started to lay out our potager. We were recycling even away back then with the topsoil brought over from a project at 'Les Balcons'.

Below are from February 2012 when the barn roof was replaced - yes it does snow here sometimes!
