While in Tours last Saturday we passed by the cathedral where a lot of activity was going on, of the floral kind...
...this drew us into the cathedral itself...
...where we were met by a pyramid of vegetables...
and fabulous displays of flowers and vegetables throughout the cathedral.
All the side chapels had individual displays.
We should really have asked what was going on - harvest festival perhaps? - but thought all I had to do was go back and check out 'tinternet (homage to Tim) and answers would spill out - but no, not a mention!
Even Joan took a back seat to the first bishop of Tours who had been bizarrely reinvented as Santa Clause!
Sainte Fiacre... patron saint of gardeners!!
ReplyDeleteNot from t'internet...

And boy! What a veg display...
