We headed over to Angles-sur-l'Anglin on Sunday to their Easter brocante. It's one of our favourites as it is a pleasure to simply walk the streets and take in the views of this pretty village.

What a difference a blue sky makes....
It was a lovely day - so different from last Sunday's event at Azay-le-Ferron!

You just have to...
On last Saturday's visit to the beautiful Angles-sur-l'Anglin I couldn't help but take these shots even though I must have taken them a hundred times - couldn't help myself.

Is it us?
Went on another walk yesterday morning with Mike and Liz over at Angles-sur-l'Anglin and before doing so Pauline picked a map (?) of the proposed route. There are a number of good choices around the village, we choose to take the one that takes you up on the highground overlooking the river.
It is a bit of a climb but once you are up there the great vista is worth it.
You then descend back down to pick up the narrow shaded 'chemins'.
At one point we had to step aside to give way to this horse and cart which took up the width of the track.
So far so good - following the 'marked' route wasn't always easy as the markings sometimes proved difficult to find, especially at locations where you had a 'choice'! Pauline had proved to be our most reliable 'spotter' but even she came unstuck at points.
We ended up doing an extra two and a half kilometres as we all scratched our heads and phones trying to get back on th actual route. We were under a wee bit of pressure as we had booked a table for lunch and were running late!
We ended up returning to the village from the other side on a long stretch of the D2 - Pauline and I were familiar with this part of the route as the 'directions' had defeated us on a previous try. We all cheered as the village came back into view and ended up only 15 minutes late to take a lovely lunch on the terrace of No15.

Well worth the walk...
Here are more images from Tuesday's walk around the countryside behind the beautiful Angles-sur-l'Anglin. As you can see from the pics it is a walk with a good diversity of terrain with a mixture of open areas and woodlands which on such a humid day temperature waise was very welcome. We rewarded ourselves with a good lunch at 'No15' in the village.

Yesterday's brocante at Angle-sur-l'Anglin
Yesterday morning with friends Mike and Liz we headed over to the brocante at Angle-surl'Anglin.
As ever at these events there were items that every home should have, some even with a seasonal feel.
Liked this.
Wanted these but not at 30 euros.
Thought this rather tasteful!
Pauline wouldn't let me buy this fellow, even after badgering her!

Parting shot...
For the last visit of their stay we took the ladies on a visit to the beautiful Angles-sur-l'Anglin. We had tea at No 15 after taking a few of the 'money shots'
