Yesterday's walk amongst the art...

Yesterday we headed over to the annual L'Art &Lard Festival' at Le Petit-Pressigny which is always a good walk and introduction to art and artists over a number of disciplines .

Each artist is allocated a space which can be anywhere from a stall in the church to a spot in a house or garden or one of the stalls in the tent village,

The musical entertainment was provided this year by the 'Funky Groove Parade'
The 'art' as usuai took many forms...
The local English community provide a tearoom where you can take your tea while sampling a piece of the delicious homemade cakes on offer.
This year they played tribute to a friend and co-founder of the tearoom who sadly passed away this year.

Promenading...

After our wet walk on Thursday with the our randonnée club it was a pleasure to be promenading of a different sort last night at 'Maison Dallais', La Promenade, in Le Petit-Pressigny and even better as we were being treated! The food, as ever, was delicious.

Kicking off the weekend...

Dominique and I kicked off the 'Fete de la Musique' weekend last night at Le Petit Pressigny with me making it, at times, difficult for him to follow me but think we just got away with it! Will try harder tonight when we are on first at Le Grand-Pressigny. Pauline and I have a 'changeover' at the 'Old Walnut Mill' to fit in before then. It was good to see departing guests along for last nights performance.

Last night saw familiar faces both on and off the stage with some very enthusiastic dancing as the night rolled on - good fun!

More entertainment tonight at Le Grand-Pressigny.

Hats off to our leader...

For Thursday's randonnee we headed over to Le Petit-Pressigny and a walk under a hot sun and blue sky. It was a day for hats and our stand-in leader won the 'hat of the day' award!

As we left the village it seemed like the ideal conditions for a good walk...

but when faced with open countryside and a hot sun it sometimes felt like a punishment - but beats the rain hands down!

Another good walk in good company.

Fete de la Musique Le Petit-Pressigny

Dominique and I had our first 'public' performance last night at the 'Fete de la Musique' Le Petit-Pressigny where were the first act of the night. Good fun for us...hope our audience likes us! It was a night of diverse musical performances.

With the highlights for me being Zoe Thompson the 16 year girl from Tours' set and a rousing performance of 'Hallelujah' from the acapella  group 'Entre Nous'.

It was left to Celtiqua to bring the event to a lively close after a long wait to perform.
