An early start for walk around Le Grand-Pressigny

On Sunday we were over at the Salle des Fete in Le Grand-Pressigny for 8.15 am to help prepare for guest arriving to take part in the  inter-club randonne.  It was a lovely morning and as we set off through the village the sun helped show of  the chateau to its best advantage.

The long shaddows

There was a good turnout for the event.

The walk took us up behind the chateau and then back down again across the metal bridge over the river Claise.

Fellow walkers discussing mushrooms picked as we walked. You have to love the blue jacket with the white and yellow writing stating the wearer 'loves pink'!

It was a good walk through varied landscapes and woodlands.

These inter-club walks always entail a refreshment stop midway...which is always welcome.

Evidence of the dry spell we are having.

Much as we enjoy these walks in good company it is always good to catch a glimpse of your destination.

Back to the Salle-des-fete for some cake and a glass of cider.
