The weather was kind enough yesterday to let me finish off clearing the courtyard, although leaf gathering was continuous due to the wind, to receive our new guests from New Zealand.
We had prepared the cottage over a couple of days as the last guests were not the best - we had borrowed the house ourselves as we needed the second bedroom to accommodate our family visitors - especially Pauline and me, Michael,Rose and the adorable Ada took their stuff away with them but we then had to make the move back and decamping us is always a chore!! Currently La Guerche has only one usable bedroom - but we are working on it!
