We went yesterday with seasoned brocanters Dennis & Angela over to the monthly flea-market on the banks of the Loire at Montsoreau. It was one we had wanted to visit for a while and were glad we did.
Set out along the old quayside it is mainly professional dealers with an interesting array of 'stuff' - not unlike the monthly Chinon market - with dealer prices!
Did not seem to be a way out of paying the high prices.
There were some interesting items on display...
and with Pauline and Angela taking more of a keen interest than Denis and me, they ended up quite a way behind us.
so much so that I had time to try out this chap's sofa for a while as we waited for them to catch up...I had let him know that I had no interest in buying it before I sat down but he did not seem to have a problem with that!
It was an interesting visit and t'm sure we will be back.
Should have bought the ships wheel and sent it to the Tory party!!!!
