A full day out...1, Isleta del Moro.

On Sunday for our last excursion out of the city we decided to drive back into the Cabo de Gata natural park and visit a couple of other small villages. First stop was the charming fishing village of La Isleta del Moro. Much of the villages charm radiates from modest and well preserved whitewashed fishermen's houses with their blue painted doors and surroundings.

We had lunch in the imaginatively named 'Restaurante La Isleta del Moro', which you can see in the centre of first pic., with views of the sea towards the Escullos beach and the old volcano. You have plenty of choices for eating, we were advised to go by a French couple we chatted to in the carpark who had made a reservation for lunch there.
We had a mixed salad and then fish from their 'catch of the day menu' Pauline had sea bream and I had sea bass which were both very tasty.
We did not eat on the terrace overlooking the bay, no one did, as the wind had gotten up and it was rather blowy out there!
We walked off our lunch by strolling along the bays...

...and beaches.
I then decided to take to the higher ground to catch the views along the coast with Pauline opting for the beach.
