The Alhambra, visit one...'Generalife'

The Alhambra consists of three parts, the magnificent Nasrid Palaces, the Generalife gardens and the Alcazaba fortress.
Our first stop was the Generalife gardens which are not, as you might suspect, sponsored by any insurance company, there appears no exact explanation for its name. Wiki has this. It served as the summer residence for the sultans of the Alhambra. Its current layout gives a good example of Arab architecture and an impression of how the gardens might have looked in the past.

It is  divided into four terraced gardens, a residential area and cultivate grounds surrounding the estate.
Continuing through the gardens you come across a set of stairs, then another, leading to the private quarters of the Sultan's summer residence.
The views over the valley are spectacular.
