Winter wood and 'bons voisins'

This year we are trying to get ahead of the game as far as our winter fuel is concerned so we had it delivered this week.We bought 10 stere (stere = cubic metre) which had to be dropped off in two loads of 5.
Unfortunately we had to have it dumped on the street as the tractor and trailer were too big to enter the courtyard. At 9.00am this meant a bit of traffic control and a very quick shift to get it off the road.

On our first delivery our French neighbours Dominique and Francois came to the rescue...very kind.

For the second lot we called in reinforcements...in the form of David and Norman who did a sterling job.

It was quickly off the street and in the courtyard...then it was upto me to stack it.
